To mark the Year of Engineering, the Government will be holding a multi-faith national service at Westminster Abbey at midday, Thursday 22 November.
Representatives from the engineering community, engineering charities and members of the general public are invited to join the Secretary of State for Transport, government representatives and Year of Engineering partners in celebrating the outstanding contribution that engineers past and present have made to society.
The service will also highlight the importance of inspiring the next generation with budding engineers, inspiring engineering role models and educational organisations invited to attend.
Institute of Water have been allocated 10 places and we are inviting any of our members interested in attending to enter a ballot to join our Vice President Engineering – Jo Parker – at the event.
