Aqua Engineering

Aqua Engineering offer a range of water treatment services, including bespoke filtration, pH correction and UV purification for non-main water supplies. We also carry out Legionella Risk Assessments and can undertake remedial works including tank cleaning and microbiological water sampling. We produce Water Safety Plans to comply with Local Authority requirements for end to end audit of non-mains water extraction and use.

CABWI is a nationally recognised Awarding Organisation specialising in the development and award of vocational qualifications for the water and utilities industries.

We offer a range of qualifications regulated by Ofqual in England, Qualifications Wales in Wales and CCEA in Northern Ireland, in clean and waste water, as well as water efficiency.

Our current portfolio includes competence-based and knowledge-based qualifications, designed, in consultation with industry specialists, to meet the needs of those working in the water and other industries.

We have recently launched a number of new Level 3 Diploma qualifications in Water Treatment, Water Network – Distribution and Water Network – Leakage. These qualifications will support water companies in up-skilling existing staff as well as supporting the on-programme element for apprentices working towards the Water Process Technician standard.

CABWI is proud to announce that it has been approved to deliver End Point Assessment (EPA) for the Water Process Technician standard and has developed a solution to support the Assessment Plan. As the recognised awarding body for the water industry we felt it vital that we should be able to deliver this service to our long established customer base.

  • The size of pipe we can offer varies from 25mm up to and including 630mm. We have also installed pipework up to 1200mm in diameter.
  • All of our operatives have formal training for the installation processes we use to install the pipework.

  • Pressure Testing

Primarily to identify the new mains structural integrity for any leakage and verifying the performance of the new water main for adoption by the water company. IY Commissioning LTD provide a specific pressure test with full data logging and graphical analysis providing the pressure integrity is maintained.

  • Chlorination

Water companies will not allow connection of new laid water main onto the live water system until the new main has been pressure tested and chlorinated efficiently with a chlorinated certificate being provided. We can carry out this work to the highest standards within the industry and issue you with the necessary disinfection certificate.

  • Mains Bacteriological Testing,

New Main Bacteriological Testing within the UK we are accredited in All Water territory’s including IWNL, Anglian Water, Thames, Seven Trent Water, Yorkshire Water, South Staffs Water, conducted in accordance with British Standard BS7592 explains the importance of flushing times as a simple example of an element of the sampling procedure that can significantly change a result. All our water samples are tested via UKAS accredited laboratories as standard. We are able to offer a range of microbiological analysis and chemical testing services.

  • Leak finding / leak detecting

IYC offer a leak finding system to pinpoint leaks within mains, that cost hours of man time, digging trial holes and saving water. With state of the art equipment providing accurate detection even finding numerous leaks within the system saving time and money for the developer.

  • Dedicated flushing programme

IYC offer a turnkey flushing programme to turn over mains connected to the live system Systems or individual outlets that are not frequently used allow the development of stagnant water conditions, which increase the potential of bacterial growth and proliferation, including Legionella. In order to remove any stagnation that may have developed or to stop stagnation from occurring in the first place, it is important to introduce a “flushing” programme where necessary. IYC offer a dedicated team that carry out the process to the local water companies standards.
