The Institute of Water Innovation Awards offer a spotlight for the many innovative individuals and companies within the water sector to demonstrate their excellence. They are a great way to raise the profile of your work, and to celebrate success.
Entries are now open for the Institute of Water Northern Area Innovation Awards. With four broad categories covering all aspects of the industry, there is no better time to apply.
A panel of expert judges will shortlist entries, and those selected will be offered the chance to present their innovation at a Northern Area event. The winner will be entered into the National Innovation Awards, and if shortlisted invited to attend the prestigious President’s Dinner Awards Ceremony.
Innovative Technology – innovations relating to something physical that is produced through manufacture or construction, or approaches to servicing, maintenance and repair.
Customer Service – innovations relating to work or activities conducted or providing improved customer service.
Ways of Working – innovations relating to procedures and practices in the operational businesses. Innovations relating to the delivery of capital projects will also be considered in this category.
Society and Sustainability – innovations relating to the wider community and environment.
These awards are open to all individuals, teams or organisations that operate within the Northern Area of the Institute of Water. The Northern Area comprises of the operational areas of Yorkshire Water, Northumbrian Water and United Utilities. Entry is not restricted to IoW members. The innovation submitted must have been applied or implemented within the UK.
The Institute of Water Northern Area held it’s 7th Annual Innovation Awards in February, inviting water companies and their supply partners to submit their applications. The award was open to all individuals, teams or organisations that operate within the Northern Area of the Institute of Water which comprises the operational areas of Yorkshire Water, Northumbrian Water, and United Utilities.
The winner of this year’s award was Yorkshire Water with their innovation, ‘Retro-fit Cl Splashguard’.
