Scottish Area Innovation Awards

Institute of Water Scottish Area Innovation Awards 2019 are NOW OPEN

The Scottish Innovation Awards are open to all individuals, teams or organisations that operate within the Scottish Area of the Institute of Water which comprises the operational areas of Scottish Water. You do not need to be a member of the Institute of Water to enter.

THE DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS IS THURSDAY 31ST JANUARY 2019.

A master judging panel will decide who will be shortlisted. The shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend the Scottish Area President’s Dinner on 27th April 2019 where the winner will be announced.

The winner is then put forward to represent the Scottish Area at the National Innovation Awards which will be held in Belfast in June 2019.

2017/18 Scottish Area Innovation Awards

The winner of the Scottish Area Innovation Award was announced at the Scottish Area President’s Dinner on the 24th March 2018. This year’s award went to Scottish Water Sewer Response Team with their innovation ‘Improving High Pressure Water Jetting Safety’.

The team went on to represent the Scottish Area at the Institute of Water National Innovation Awards held in Glasgow in June 2018 and were awarded runners up.

 

2016/17 Scottish Area Innovation Award Winners

This years Scottish Area 6th Strictly Innovation Award went to Scottish Water – Utility Focus Group with their innovation ‘Trailer mounted vacuum excavator T-VAC for short’. The winner was announced at the Scottish Area President’s Dinner on 18th February 2017 and the winning entry will go on to represent the Scottish Area in the National Innovation Awards at the Institute of Water President’s Dinner in June 2017.
