South East Area Committee

Welcome to the South East Area of the Institute of Water!

South East Area

We are one of eight Institute of Water area committees. We are all volunteers who work in the water sector.

We use our professional experience to develop events and activities to support IWater members in the South East Area; helping them to do their day jobs, advocate for the sector and improve the environment and lives of their communities.

Anyone who works in the sector is welcome to join. Any of our committee members would be happy to talk to you about the benefits of getting involved with IWater.

Our Committee

The committee are a mixture of water company, regulator, supply chain and consultancy employees with a shared passion for our industry and the people within it.

Our Committee has a huge focus on diversity and inclusion and aim to have that as a thread through everything we do.

We’re friendly, open and we encourage people to get involved. If you have any ideas for events or just want to chat about all things IWater, please contact us!

Our Events

We pride ourselves on our vibrant programme of local events and activities, most notably our three day development workshop Ripple Effect (previously known as Weekend School) which has seen delegates flourish into successful industry professionals.

Other key events include our EDI Conference, sharing best practice for creating inclusive environments, and our Dinner with a CEO, an intimate setting where industry leaders share their experiences and answer your questions.
